Audiology at the ASHA Convention

The 2023 ASHA Convention will primarily be an in-person event in Boston, November 16–18, 2023. There will still be virtual offerings, and ASHA is expanding the use of the popular iPosters platform to host both interactive poster presentations, technical sessions, and the new technical demos. These sessions will be available for anyone to view between November 9–29; however, you can only claim continuing education credit for them if you are registered. There will be a lower virtual-only registration rate this year! Bookmark this page and check back—we’ll keep updating information through the summer. Also, check the Convention Schedule at a Glance.

Audiology Square

Stop by Audiology Square in the Exhibit Hall Wednesday, November 15, 4:30–6:30 p.m. for the Welcome Reception. Audiology Square will be open all day Thursday and Friday and until 1:00 p.m. on Saturday; come in and talk with members of the Audiology Practices team or pick up a fun giveaway. Audiology Square and a separate lounge area will be near audiology session locations.

Education Sessions and Program

Want to learn more about audiology topics? Check out the Program Planner starting in July to search for ASHA Convention sessions by topic area, keyword, date, presenting author, and more to create a personalized schedule. Here are some general highlights of what's new this year:

  • The Welcome Reception returns to the Exhibit Hall on Wednesday, November 15 from 4:30–6:30 p.m.
  • A full schedule of sessions will be offered on Saturday, and the Exhibit Hall will be open until 1:00 p.m., so you have more time to take advantage of all the ASHA Convention has to offer!
  • A new session format—technical demos provide an opportunity to learn how to perform a treatment technique or diagnostic method, or how to use a piece of equipment or software application.
  • Pre-Convention workshops focused on big-picture topics such as leading innovation and design thinking, along with traditional professional education courses.
  • The Convention Program Committee will be identifying “Changemaker” sessions to highlight innovation in the professions.
  • Lower cost master classes!
  • In keeping with our innovation theme, the 2023 Research Symposium will focus on Artificial Intelligence (AI).
  • Proof of COVID-19 vaccination will not be required this year; however, we strongly recommend that all attendees are up-to-date on their vaccinations.
