ASHA supports systemic change and is actively advocating to influence the policies and systems that we can to improve the CSD professions–legislative change takes time.
While we fight for change, we care about your wellness and mental health and want to share tools and strategies to help you navigate burnout and improve your wellbeing. We will share information about ASHA's initiatives dedicated to improving the work environment for members together with valuable resources.

Dr. Kimberly N. Frazier recently served as the 71st president of the American Counseling Association and is one eight African American’s to be elected to this role for the American Counseling Association Dr. Frazier the CEO and owner of Kimberly Frazier Consulting Firm which focuses on training and workshops surrounding diversity, wellness, workplace inclusion and resolution. She is also a full professor and director of academic and clinical training for clinical mental health counseling at National University. Dr. Frazier received her PhD in counselor education from the University of New Orleans. She holds licensure in the state of Louisiana as a professional counselor (LPC), licensed marriage and family therapist (LMFT), and certification as a nationally certified counselor (NCC). She is a Professor at National University.
Dr. Frazier was awarded the American Counseling Association’s most prestigious distinction of ACA Fellow. She is most proud of the work she does encompassing the areas of justice, equity, diversity, and inclusion with organizations, universities, and mentoring future leaders.
