At this online conference, we estimate you will be able to earn up to approximately 2.45 ASHA CEUs or 24.5 professional development hours (PDHs).
The amount of units you earn is based on the number of sessions you complete and chats you attend. Some sessions and live chats can count toward ASHA certification maintenance professional development requirements.
Recorded sessions are available on demand. You may watch them any time during the 13-day access window. Each session is planned to be approximately 1 hour long.
Each live video chat session is a half-hour or 1 hour long. To receive credit for a live chat, you must be logged in for the full duration. You do not need to post a question to receive credit but you must be online.
While we encourage participants to attend live, if you have a schedule conflict, you can watch the chat recording before the last day of the conference. Credit will be given for either the live chat or the on-demand recording of the chat, not both.
Since the conference is packed with great information, you will have access to recorded sessions, chat recordings, and discussion boards for an additional 2 weeks (December 16–29) after the conference ends. During this extension, use the archived information for reference only—sorry, continuing education (CE) credit cannot be earned after the conference ends on December 15.
To earn CE credit and/or obtain an event report (aka certificate of completion), you need to record your participation in the online reporting system and complete the learning assessment by 11:59 p.m. Eastern Time, Monday, December 15, 2025. If you need a record of the activities in which you participated—or think you may need a record in the future—you must report for credit by December 15.
The system will keep a running total of the activities you have added, allowing you to track the number of hours accrued. The system will then convert your total hours to ASHA CEUs or PDHs as appropriate. After you enter all your sessions and chats, you will complete the learning assessment (listing three things you learned from the conference). You can find a video tutorial and detailed instructions for entering your participation inside the conference site.
You will automatically receive your certificate of completion/event report after you finish the activity-reporting process. The certificate of completion/event report lists the session names and number of hours you completed. If you are a member of the ASHA CE Registry, credits will be reported to the Registry no later than December 30.
If you miss the reporting deadline because of an extenuating circumstance, see the ASHA Professional Development appeals process.
ASHA CEUs are awarded through the ASHA CE Registry to SLPs, audiologists, or speech/language/hearing scientists. To receive ASHA CEUs, eligible persons must join the ASHA CE Registry. Learn more about the Registry.
Joining the Registry is optional. If you are eligible to earn ASHA CEUs, but choose not to join the Registry, you may track your own professional development hours (PDHs).
This program will be offered for up to 2.45 ASHA CEUs (Intermediate level; Professional area)
Professional development hours (PDHs) are an alternative measurement unit for continuing education activities. Related professionals, SLP and audiology assistants, and others may receive PDHs.
PDHs from this conference apply toward ASHA certification maintenance. You should check with other authorities (such as state license boards or departments of education) to see if they recognize PDHs.
Keep the following points in mind while keeping track of your ASHA CEUs/PDHs.
ASHA plans to register this conference for Illinois Early Intervention Training Program credits when the event gets closer.
"Loved the setup of it—how sessions are available to watch any time, any place. Having options to access the live chats or recorded chats was nice. Overall, I felt it was well-organized, and I appreciated the online, on-demand format of it."
