2024 SIG Coordinating Committee Call for Nominations

Are you or a colleague interested in volunteering with the SIGs?
The Special Interest Group Coordinating Committees (SIG CCs) are accepting nominations for their 2025–2027 elected positions.
General Responsibilities
The CCs are responsible for
- Leading the activities of the SIGs, including
- overseeing the development of Perspectives content,
- coordinating SIG-developed continuing education opportunities,
- contributing to policy and advocacy matters, and
- prioritizing initiatives.
- Ensuring the SIGs operate within established programmatic guidelines [PDF].
CC members are expected to
- Actively contribute to the success of the SIG,
- Serve in leadership roles, and
- Advocate for the SIGs and the professions.
Committee Composition
Each CC has six to seven members:

| 3-4 Members-at-Large | Elected by plurality vote of SIG Affiliates |
| 1 Editor | Appointed by the Perspectives Editor-in-Chief |
| 1 Professional Development Manager | Appointed by the CC |
| 1 Ex Officio (staff liaison) | Appointed by the ASHA CEO |
Nomination Deadline
Nominate yourself or another qualified SIG Affiliate for an elected position by 11:59 p.m., ET, Monday, March 25, 2024. Review the eligibility requirements and the nomination process for those positions.
