The Special Interest Groups (SIGs) are accepting nominations for their 2025–2027 Coordinating Committee (CC) elected vacancies. CC members, with the exception of the appointed Editor and Professional Development Manager, are elected by a plurality vote of the affiliates in the respective SIG.
Nominate yourself or another qualified affiliate to be considered for an upcoming vacancy by 11:59 p.m., ET on March 25, 2024.

The SIG CCs also ensure that the SIG operates within established programmatic guidelines [PDF].
CC Members are expected to actively contribute to the success of the SIG. They must follow the roles and responsibilities specified by the Board of Special Interest Group Coordinators (BSIGC) including the following:

Both the nominator and the nominee must be:
ASHA Members can submit nominations for all SIGs with which they are affiliated. Individuals can only run for and serve on one SIG CC at a time.
ASHA International Affiliates, ASHA Assistants, and NSSLHA Students are not eligible to nominate, vote, or hold office.
Names of potential candidates must be submitted online by 11:59 p.m., ET, Monday, March 25, 2024, to be eligible for consideration.

Individuals nominated by the date above will be contacted and given until Friday, April 5 to accept their nominations.
Note: Nomination emails will come from SIGs@asha.org. Make sure you add SIGs@asha.org as an approved sender so you don't miss the emails.

ASHA Community Profile Tips:
Make sure your profile is complete and current with information you would like to share (education, work history, photo, etc.).
Determine what information is visible to others by changing the privacy settings on your ASHA Community Profile.
Select Members Only or Public so that affiliates of your SIG can view your profile.
The respective SIG CC will review all valid nominations and determine the slate of candidates for the election.
