Each state summary includes licensing and teacher requirements, state contacts for licensing boards, departments of education, state associations, and requirements for support personnel.
- State Teacher credentialing trends provides a listing of states that require universal licensure as well as other state specific teacher requirements for both audiologists and speech-language pathologists in education settings.
- The Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology Assistants chart [PDF] includes states that license, register or certify support personnel and states that require bachelor's degree, associate's degree, or a high school diploma.
- ASHA has launched an Associates Program for Speech-Language Pathology Assistants. The Assistants Center includes information about requirements, ASHA position statements on support personnel, and resources for the associate.
